On August 31st, 2022, at exactly 8:22 AM, ‪@segahardlight‬ posted a teaser for their mobile game "Sonic Forces Speed Battle" on their Twitter account. Said teaser teased the return of Darkspine Sonic from the 2007 hit Nintendo Wii game, "Sonic and the Secret Rings."

As expected, we all got hyped up for the return of this beloved (yet obscure) character after nearly two decades. The accumulated hype was shown in the form of a Twitter thread. The thread in question was filled with many Sonic fans singing along to the main theme of the game, "Seven Rings in Hand," by Steve Conte.
