This is a day in my life as a Doctor

Every morning I wake up to this alarm clock , write down a to do list and try to tick all the boxes before Bed time
This is what I do every morning
I just start the day with a glass of water ..
The best part about getting up early is the silence ..
Time and silence are the most luxurious things nowadays.

I m reading the chapter on endocrine today .
Endocrinology is the study of harmones.
What fascinates me is that the term harmone is just a century old .
The Most important topic in endocrinology is Diabeties.

Scientists are developing a nasal gel formula which could put an end to injections for type 1 diabetics .
They are still working on it and I am sure they will make a breakthrough .

It’s a very pleasant morning ..

I polish my shoes every single day , it feels so rewarding when u see the shine at the end . It’s relaxing ..

Today is the start of monsoon ..



When I was in medical school I had a professor who I looked up to
He was about to retire after 40 years of practice . He was asked “what advice would you give to all of us new doctors in the room .? And he replied
They need to practice More of empathy …

There was no chapter on empathy in our curriculum..
I looked it up ..

Interestingly, the term empathy is of recent origin as well . Iin simple terms empathy means ‘the experience of another human’.
It’s a integral part of a doctor patient relationship .


AThe more I practice medicine the more
I have realised that Sometimes comforting and reassuring words are more powerful than medicine .

After lunch session are usually tough … I battle with my laziness . But today its different.
So I decided to study outside .

I love how green everything becomes at the start of monsoon .

When it rains , it rains heavily here .

I only set timers when I feel more distracted ..




Learning is hard , it’s not always fun .
But It’s very personal. You read it , you don’t understand , you read it again .


We are all struggling , struggling to find something meaningful.
We are all in the same boat .


When I was little , I loved a quote from Harry Potter .

Happiness can be found in the darkest of times if you Just remember to turn on the lights .

So Stay strong .
