College Spotlight: Florida Institute of Technology

Welcome to Florida’s Space Coast as Jodi Glou of Custom College Consulting tours the Florida Institute of Technology. Florida Tech is also known as Florida’s STEM University.

Founded in 1958 by a NASA physicist, this private university designs its majors to be hands-on and research-based, so its students can learn by doing from day one.

Its 3,500 undergraduate students can choose to study in one of the University’s four colleges, including the College of Aeronautics, Bisk College of Business, the College of Engineering & Science, and the College of Psychology & Liberal Arts.

Over 95% of all students receive scholarships and grants that often equal up to 50% of tuition, which makes it a great value.

There is also a vibrant student life on campus with over 200 clubs, including Esports, theater groups, and Greek Life.
