Fabric Flower How - To

Supplies:
• Oly-Fun Craft Fabric
• Dowel Rod
• Duct Tape
• Pipe Cleaners
• Hot Glue
• Rubber Band
• Aluminum Foil
• Scissors

Step 1 cut 4, 14” squares of Oly-fun Craft Fabric
Step 2 stack fabric squares on top of each other
Step 3 using the scissors, cut a petal shape on the right and left sides only
Step 4 accordion fold the fabric squares together
Step 5 then fold in half and wrap piper cleaner at the half-way mark
Step 6 place rubber band around at the base, insert dowel rod and secure with hot glue
[be sure to wrap the dowel rod with duct tape before this step.]
Step 7 fold aluminum foil sheet in thirds and in half again then wrap rubber band around the base of the flower and secure with hot glue.
Step 8 repeat step 7. Squeeze aluminum foil to form a “bud”.
Step 9 wrap bud with enough duct tape to cover the aluminum foil
Step 10 fan out fabric to create petals
Step 11 make leaf
• Cut a 6” or 7” piece of duct tape
• Cut pipe cleaner in half
• Place pipe cleaner on duct tape, fold in half, cut into a leaf shape
Step 12 wrap the pipe cleaner stem around the dowel rod and tape to secure the leaf
