A human merchant spaceship gets stopped by obsessive alien safety inspectors, leading to a showdown between the no-nonsense human captain and the arrogant bird-like aliens over warp drive regulations. After being detained, fined, and nearly impounded, the captain enacts a spiteful prank to teach the aliens not to mess with experienced human spacefarers.
