I spent the day at the Capitol in Atlanta listening to lawmakers talk about caregiving.

And now I understand why nothing gets fixed.

One side says five days of leave is enough.
The other says thirty days of paid leave.
Then it turns into a fight about protecting a “small business” instead of protecting families.

Think about how insane that is.

We’re asking people to choose between their job and their mother.
Between their paycheck and their spouse.
Between showing up for work or showing up for the people who raised them.

And the same politicians who refuse caregiver leave
also refuse tax credits that would actually help businesses afford it.

No middle ground.
No solutions.
Just people protecting their own pockets.

The majority of this country is middle class or below.
Yet we keep voting for policies that only benefit the top 1%.

If you don’t pay attention now, this will be you later.
Your parents will work until they die.
Then you’ll be next—only this time competing with AI, no safety net, no stability.

This isn’t left or right.
It’s broken.
