Описание к видео How The Fed Ended the 70s/80s Inflation Crisis

Lately, I’ve been seeing inflation and stagflation pop up more and more in the headlines. People are concerned about whether inflation is going to be transitory, or if this is a permanent trend likely to stay. A lot of people don’t seem to fully understand what exactly stagflation is, including myself prior to researching this video.

So I took a deep look explaining what exactly is stagflation, what happened in the 1970s when stagflation and inflation crippled the US economy. Then I took a look at what Paul Volcker and the federal reserve did to restore the US economy and rid itself of inflation. These steps are essentially the same steps that Jerome Powell the current chairman of the federal reserve needs to take to stop inflation. The federal reserve printed a lot of extra money during the pandemic, and now we need to re-capture some of that money to prevent inflation from continuing to run rampant.
