Going over the SIG P220 .45 ACP. Came out in the mid 1970's, and adopted by numerous countries and agencies.

S&W and SIG had the last of the .45 single stack pistols, and people moved to higher capacity and better ammo.

For me, the P220 was overall a better mouse trap than the Colt 1911. Now everyone makes a 1911, and most people want double stack 9MM's. But the SIG P220 was a great pistol, and with minimal training was a good "Duty Gun". Today, most over look it, and its underrated I feel.
