The Scale of Yale: C.B. Macdonald and Seth Raynor's Great College Golf Course

C. B. Macdonald referred to the rocky, dramatic land on which he and Seth Raynor built the Yale Golf Course as a "veritable wilderness." In this video, we show how the course pays tribute to the scale of that wilderness. Accompanying our drone footage is commentary from Tom Doak, Gil Hanse, and Riley Johns. In addition to praising "the scale of Yale," these architects offer suggestions for how, through tree removal and restoration, the course could recapture the full degree of its original greatness.
