The Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine featuring EQ Boost and a 48-volt onboard electrical system. This powerful engine delivers 550 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque, propelling the luxury SUV from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds. An integrated starter generator can add up to 21 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque for short bursts, enhancing performance. The E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL suspension uses a camera to scan the road ahead, adjusting in real-time for a smooth ride and improved handling, including leaning into curves. The Maybach DYNAMIC SELECT drive program, exclusive to this model, prioritizes rear passenger comfort by minimizing body roll. Additionally, the vehicle slightly lowers when the doors are opened, making it easier to enter and exit.

For 2025, the Mercedes-Benz GLS introduces several updates. The models now feature a more striking radiator grille with four Silver Shadow louvres, a redesigned bumper with integrated air inlet grilles, and a simulated underguard. At the rear, the lights feature three horizontal blocks, and a new 20-inch multi-spoke light-alloy wheel in Himalayas grey with a high-sheen finish is available.

The Mercedes-Benz GLS remains a seven-seater. Two new leather colors, Catalana beige and Bahia brown, are available, along with updated interior trim options, including glossy brown lime wood as standard. The MANUFAKTUR glossy black piano lacquer trim, previously exclusive to the Maybach GLS, is now available across the GLS range.

The updated MBUX infotainment system offers a refreshed display design with three styles—classic, sporty, and discreet—and three modes: Navigation, Assistance, and Service. The "classic" style features a familiar two-tube design, while "sporty" emphasizes red accents and a dynamic rev counter. The "discreet" style reduces display content to essentials. Both displays can be customized with seven color schemes that complement the ambient lighting, creating an immersive interior experience. The central display retains its functions and offers enhanced touchscreen capabilities.

The GLS models support a trailer load of up to 3.5 tonnes and a tongue weight of up to 140 kg, with additional bolts on the ball neck to support a bicycle carrier with a load capacity of 100 kg, making it suitable for e-bikes. Towing features include Trailer Manoeuvring Assist, an updated Trailer menu in the central display, and a Trailer route planner.

In the Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC, vertical chrome bars and "Maybach" lettering distinguish the radiator grille. The air inlet grilles feature a Maybach pattern with chrome surrounds. A new 23-inch forged wheel in the Maybach design is available. Inside, ambient lighting with animated Mercedes-Maybach pattern projections is standard, and the seat covers feature a new design with diamond-pattern quilting and specific perforations. Exclusive interior color combinations, such as MANUFAKTUR crystal white/silver grey pearl and MANUFAKTUR mahogany brown/macchiato beige, are offered.

Additional updates for the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Mercedes-Maybach GLS include new paint finishes in sodalite blue metallic and MANUFAKTUR alpine grey non-metallic. The latest steering wheel design features touch controls, and the voice assistant can now be activated without saying "Hey Mercedes." The optional MBUX Multi-Seat Entertainment system offers rear-seat occupants the same range of infotainment and comfort features as those in the front, with up to three touchscreens and intuitive controls. Two optional USB ports with 100 W output are available in the rear of the center console, and the ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL system, optional in Western Europe, offers a two-stage filter concept to protect against fine dust and pollutants.

The Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4MATIC+ receives several upgrades for 2025, including enhanced driving dynamics. The new model features a redesigned LED rear light signature and two new paint finishes: MANUFAKTUR alpine grey non-metallic and sodalite blue metallic. The front section now bears the AMG emblem, reflecting its brand affiliation, and red brake calipers emphasize its sporty character. When the front doors are opened, an AMG-specific light animation plays via a new logo projector. Wheel options range from the standard 21-inch ten-spoke light-alloy wheels to 22- and 23-inch options, including forged wheels.

Inside, the AMG GLS 63 features Exclusive Nappa leather upholstery in new color schemes, such as Bahia brown/black and macchiato beige/black. The interior trim options include glossy brown lime wood, with MANUFAKTUR glossy black piano lacquer with flowing decorative lines available on request. The latest MBUX generation enhances the AMG experience with AMG-specific screen designs and functions.
