EP ‘Good Frankenstein’
A ritual for the Creature, opening a new narrative.

Good Frankenstein tells the story of creation, abandonment, and the search for meaning in a world that rejects what it doesn’t understand. Inspired by the classic Frankenstein tale, this album reinterprets the creature’s journey through a deeply personal lens, asking: What happens when a being is brought to life without consent, and then left to face its existence alone?

In the novel, the creature is given life without any understanding of the world. As it leaves the laboratory, it learns, gets hurt, and eventually desires a companion who can understand it. I believe this story continues to resonate because we see ourselves in the creature. We are born, we learn, and we yearn to be understood. However, the journey is never easy. We face countless rejections and come to realize that we can never be the same as others. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is a clear tragedy. I empathized deeply with the creature, mourned for it, and began to dream of a different ending. Thus, this album follows, but also twists, the narrative of ‘Frankenstein.’

The creature's desire to be understood resonates with my own experiences. But I am not the creature from the novel, as I do not seek revenge or destruction. That’s why I decided to perform a ‘gut.’ I survived dark times through art. As a creature, I sought a different ending, and through this album, I wanted to express that. A ‘gut’ is a story, an act of appealing to an omniscient entity for things that cannot be achieved in reality. I perform a ‘gut’ to turn the creature into the creator. He pours out his story through the ‘gut,’ and through this process, he becomes the author and will find his readers. In doing so, he will find understanding.
