Touhou 18: Unconnected Marketeers - Extra Stage

𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘯𝘥 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 ~ 𝘈𝘱𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨

Stage wise, this Extra isn't too bad, part of the time. The first half is pretty self explanatory and routeable. If you know what you're getting into ahead of time, that much that much you should be able to do consistently. During the second half however, not so much. You have to be a lot more reactionary to the enemies there, with them firing more complex attacks, coupled with a long section depending on your position in the screen.

As a mid-boss Tsukasa has a difficulty that's kinda not there at first, but then she makes up the difference in her last spell. Though it should be noted, that “difference” really only applies to Marisa. It's not bad, but the problem is she forces you out from under her for quite some time. So said spell gets much easier if you can damage her from the corner if the field.

Momoyo similarly has a difficulty curve that goes all over the place, ranging from an attack that's essentially a freebie to another that's just unreasonably cruel compared to everything else around it. For the most part, many of her attacks it's all about misdirecting what she fires, considering she loves firing aimed shots at your position. That said, just because they're predictable doesn't mean they're always easy to avoid. The tough part in many cases isn't so much what she's firing at you, it's the stuff you have to avoid as well while getting out of dodge.
