The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male who is seen in the attached surveillance photo and video and is sought in connection with an assault within the confines of the 30 Precinct. Details are as follows:



It was reported to police that on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at approximately 1350 hours, a 26-year-old male was in front of 500 West 134th Street, when an unidentified male individual approached the building and brandished a firearm and pointed it at the victim. The individual then shot the victim once in the right foot and fled to parts unknown. The victim was removed to NYC Health & Hospitals/St. Lukes in stable condition. There were no other injuries reported as a result of this incident.



The individual is described as a dark-skinned male, approximately in his 20's, slim build, black hair and last seen wearing a white T-shirt, light-colored shorts, black and white sneakers, black hat and a white mask.
