Instead, post-perihelion observations showed continued activity — subtle, controlled, and difficult to reconcile with standard decay models. Brightness variations persisted. Thermal balance remained unexpectedly stable. Motion stayed coherent where relaxation was expected.

According to analysis reviewed alongside datasets from NASA and independently examined by European Space Agency, the object’s continued behaviour after solar passage does not violate physics — but it extends beyond what current interstellar models predict.

Why continued activity matters scientifically:

• Most solar-driven processes weaken rapidly after perihelion
• 3I/ATLAS shows delayed or sustained response
• No strong outgassing signatures explain the persistence
