Knitting A Simple Turban Hat - How To Knit A Turban

Another great tutorial by Joanne. This is a very simple Turban Hat made with a very easy to follow slip stitch ribbing pattern. The secret is in the sewing.

Turban Hat

#4 Worsted Yarn I used Knitologie by Knitcrate.

#9US (5.5mm) needles.

Cast on 31 stitches. (I used the long tail cast on).



Work on Slip Stitch Ribbing for 40 inches:

sl1f=with yarn in front, pass 1 stitch purlwise

Repeat from * to *

Row 1.- knit 3, *sl1f, knit 3*.

Row 2.- knit 1, sl1f, knit 3 end with sl1f, knit1.

Bind off in pattern.



Fold the strip in half. This will be the middle of the back.

Then bring the 2 halves to the front and twist twice.

Bring the tails to the back and sew edges to the back.

Sew the sides together.
