Deaths on Everest - A Story We've Heard Too Many Times

Описание к видео Deaths on Everest - A Story We've Heard Too Many Times

After the recent tragedy’s on Everest, the Tallest Mountain in the world, I was reminded of some books that I had read previously on the subject and how the lessons that should have been learnt are still occurring today. What needs to be done to prevent queues in the Death Zone? Will someone finally take charge or are books like these going to keep being written and written.

Everest has a huge death toll, of 308 people with numbers rising rapidly as the mountain becomes a tourist attraction for the rich. The most deadly years were 2011 when there were 17 deaths, and 2015 when 19 mountaineers lost their lives.
