A Culinary Journey Through Jakarta with Locals: Street Food Edition 🇮🇩

In this video, we take you on a culinary adventure through Jakarta, Indonesia with some local friends. We explore some of the city's most popular street food vendors and try a variety of delicious dishes.

Here are some of the highlights from our culinary journey:
Rendang - AnIndonesian spicy meat dish originating from the Minangkabau region in West Sumatra, Indonesia. It has spread across Indonesia to the cuisines of neighbouring Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and the Philippines.
Perkedel kentang - Vegetable fritters from Indonesian cuisine. Most common perkedel are made from mashed potatoes, yet there are other popular variations, such as perkedel jagung and perkedel tahu and perkedel ikan.
sambal kacang - A peanut chili sauce, great for dipping in fruit and vegetables!
salak or snakefruit - We visit a local fruit/vegetable stand and take a look at some of the local Indonesian delights!
