Causes and Fixes Nissan P1320 code: Ignition Signal Primary (Ignition System – Circuit Malfunction)

Описание к видео Causes and Fixes Nissan P1320 code: Ignition Signal Primary (Ignition System – Circuit Malfunction)

How to fix a Nissan P1320 engine code: Ignition Signal Primary Ignition system – circuit malfunction.

Basic Ignition Circuit Overview
when the Engine starts, the Crankshaft Position Sensor generates a signal, which the PCM compares to signals generated by the Camshaft Position Sensors.
The PCM then sends the initial signal from the Crankshaft Position Sensor to a power transistor in the ignition coil to the “Primary Circuit”, which is low-voltage circuit to which code P1320 relates.
This circuit is amplified by the power transistor to induce the high-voltage circuit known as the “Secondary Circuit”, which represents the current that produces the ignition spark to the spark plugs.

Possible Causes of a Nissan P1320 Code:
⦁ Bad Ignition Coil
⦁ Bad Condenser
⦁ Faulty Wiring (Open - Short)
⦁ Crankshaft Position Sensor
⦁ Failing PCM

What to Check
⦁ Secondary codes such as P0301, P0302, P0303
⦁ Power going to coils
⦁ Test coils
⦁ Test condenser
⦁ Check Wiring
