Edward Hicks (1780-1849) painted the "Peaceable Kingdom" from Isaiah 11 more than 100 times. But his life and his world were far from peaceable... much like our own, where it seems it's always Advent and never quite Christmas. How we do live in the gap between what is and what we pray will be? (Isaiah 11:1-10)
