Whistling through Dixie [ZTR 110] - Side One

This is Side One of the LP 'Whistling through Dixie' [ZTR 110]. It is a collection of sound recordings of locomotives operating on minor railroads in the southern states of the USA at the end of steam in 1960. The sound engineers were Stuart Plummer and Brad Miller. It was released in the UK by the Argo Record Company in 1969 as a stereo LP. Despite the labelling, Side One only has one component of the stereo sound on the disc. I have converted this to mono for the YouTube recording. In addition to the descriptive notes, the sleeve also gives technical details of the locomotives heard on the recordings. I have placed these at the beginning of each relevant section.
