Mt. LeConte Hike, Smokie Mountain NP

We ended up hiking over 13 miles. The hike isn't too bad. it's about 5 and 1/2 mi up the mountain and 5 and 1/2 mi back down. there are tons of beautiful spots to stop along the way to rest. My favorite was Peregrine Point. Fun fact about Mount LeConte, it is technically a volcano 😅
There are also a bunch of tiny squirrels that are very obviously used to tourists so be cautious because they will try and hustle you for your snacks.
another cool thing about Mnt Leconte is there are five trails that will take you up to the Mnt LeConte Lodge which has been operating for 100 years. The lodge gets their supplies from llamas. They have cabins that you can rent so it's a once in a lifetime experience. Something that is now on my bucket list 😊
