"Lieutenant Commander Yashwant Charan (Retd)"
got commissioned in Indian Navy on 26 Dec 2011. He got commissioned in Electrical Branch of Indian Navy as Technical Officer. He did his Electrical Specialization course from INS Valsura in 2014 and was posted in Sagar Prahari Bal(SPB) as a first Technical Officer. He has further served in Naval Ship Repair Yard(Karwar) as Manager Yard Craft Maintenance. He has also served as Deputy Electrical Officer onboard INS Aditya a fleet Oil tanker. Lt Cdr Yashwant Charan(Retd) opted for GTO course and successfully cleared the same at 07 year of service becoming the one of the youngest GTO in Indian Armed Forces. He was then posted as commission crew of newly raised Naval SSB at Kolkata. He also served in 33 SSB at Selection Centre Central Bhopal. He has carried out an assessment of more than 10000 candidates in Stage 1 and detailed assessment of about 1600 candidates in Stage 2 from both Indian Navy and Indian Army. He has also been an instructor of GTO Trainees at various SSB
