If you are feeling a bit down or trapped today I hope this poem can take some of that weight away. There is no hiding from it, it can be a tough old world from time to time, and we are not always going to be able to control that. So spend less time beating yourself up about the things you can’t control and start spending more time on the things you can, the little things in life. I wrote this poem when I needed to remind myself of that during the first lockdown period when the Covid 19 pandemic arose.

I think it’s safe to say we could all do with giving ourselves a bit of a break this year.

If you find yourself reading this then I hope you get a second today to stop what you are doing, focus on your surroundings, take a deep breath, look up to the sky and enjoy life as it goes by.

Don’t worry about the where when or why today, just enjoy this moment with yourself and let your worries drift away.Have a wonderful day all. ✌🏼
