BANDA ACEH - Tsunami, Mosques & Good people (YES ITS SAFE)

In today's video I set out to explore Banda Aceh on the island of Sumatra. After 30 years of civil war and the Tsunami in 2004, this Capital of the Aceh Province has been through a lot! Before reaching Banda Aceh, I set off from Meulaboh on the western coast of Aceh. From here I ride on the beautiful USAID road all the way to the most northern Capital of the Sumatra Island.

We first visit the famous Grand Mosque in Banda Aceh, Masjid Baiturrahman. We then dive deep into the history of the 2004 Tsunami in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. At the Banda Aceh Tsunami Mueseum, a local Acehnese woman tells us her story about that terrifying day in 2004. We then continue the tour to the most famous restaurant in Banda Aceh, Mie Razali. Here we try the famous Mie Aceh and give our honest opinion.
We end the day by visiting the Rahmatullah Lampuuk Mosque, the Mosque that survived the Tsunami, before heading down to the paradise looking, Lampuuk Beach.
