Capire cosa desideriamo può essere difficile perché tendiamo a reprimere la nostra voce interiore per via delle aspettative sociali che ci potrebbero far sentire sbagliati o diversi. Lo è specialmente per le donne per via di una catena di avvenimenti prestabiliti che viene indotta nei loro confronti. Nel suo speech Carolina Capria sottolinea come non bisogna dare per scontato che ogni donna debba desiderare per forza determinate cose, ma che ognuna è liberare di desiderare ciò che preferisce senza pressione e pregiudizio.

Understanding what our desires are can be difficult sometimes because we tend to silence our inner voice because of social expectations. Especially for women, this is particularly applicable as society imposes on them a sequence of fixed events to live in order to feel fulfilled. In her speech, Carolina Capria underlines that it is wrong to take for granted that each woman must desire certain things and that each of them should feel free to desire whatever they want without pressure or prejudices.
