This video was recorded before the 2024-10-08 balance patch. In this patch, Scourge lost its corpse pull on F4, and gained AoE Swiftness on Warhorn#5. Apart from the corpse pull related comments, this video is still up-to-date; just make sure to regularly use Warhorn#5 as well.
DISCLAIMER: This is not a guide! You should already have knowledge of mechanics as well as the standard UNIT strat before watching this video.
Since there seems to be a lack of Cerus CM commentaries on youtube, I decided to do one on heal alac Scourge. After getting the Unbounded Optimism achievement, I am now refining my Cerus CM gameplay in order to progress to LCM by joining runs on the Temple of Febe CM ( / discord ) and Void Lounge ( / discord ) discord servers.
The standard UNIT strat can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
These are our major changes:
1) In p1 (100-80%), my first Scourge portal is replaced by a Chrono continuum split (CS) portal (see 0:23), the Malice target drops the Malice right on the portal for pathing reasons (see 0:27), and I then immobilize the first Malice add up to 3 times via Dagger#3 until we phase to 80% (see 1:00).
2) In p2 (80-50%), the first Chrono portal has to be placed in CS (see 2:20) in order to be able to use the Chrono portal instead of my next Scourge portal (see 2:38).
3) In p3 (50-10%), the Chrono uses another CS portal for the last Rage AoE from Cerus instead of my Scourge portal (see 7:08). This means that the next Malice add targets have to walk away during the Rage add though (see 7:20).
These are some minor changes that can be done in standard UNIT strat as well:
1) Shortly after the 1st split during the first Rage add and Despair drop, I provide a convenience Scourge portal (see 1:57).
2) At the start of p3, I use my portal ~120° instead of 180° (straight across) so that we don't have to sidestep but can just take it back immediately after the Rage AoE disappears (see 4:17).
3) I use Corrosive Poison Cloud (CPC) 1st during double Gluttony (see 2:21, 3:37, 4:35, 5:46).
Some information about my skill choices and usages:
1) I bring CPC to help destroy the small projectiles during Gluttony to prevent Cerus from gaining barrier from them. The Chrono brings Feedback for the same reason. In the CM discords, Scourge is usually responsible for the 1st projectiles during double collects (see 2:21, 4:35, 5:46). However, when doing CS portals, the Chrono can in theory handle all Gluttony attacks except for the 2nd double Gluttony during boss phases (see 4:35) since at the other double Gluttony attacks, they're using CS anyway. When there's only one Gluttony attack, we can use CPC and Feedback at the same time (see 0:57, 6:55, 7:35, 8:08, 8:38). However, we also both used it at the last collection in p2 (see 3:37), therefore we didn't have anything up for the start of the 2nd split phase (see 3:52). From my understanding, the chrono shouldn't have used their Feedback at 3:37 since they were responsible for the 2nd double Gluttony attacks.
2) I bring Sand Swell for various uses: to get us out of the Rage AoE (see 1:14, 1:57, 6:02), to handle some double walls (see 4:17, 6:32), and for Empowered Despair AoE placement past 10% (see 7:43).
3) Serpent Siphon is my main regeneration source and can be used to block the Malices spawn damage, which is especially important in the final 10% (see 8:09).
4) I bring Flesh Golem since it's important to break all breakbars ASAP due to the invisible stacking debuff, see https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Petr.... If people get boonstripped by the wall, I still have plenty of tools to get rid of Cerus' boons (Sword#3 both casts, Dagger#3, Serpent Siphon, F5).
Since one of our dps players dc'd during p3, Cerus had over 15% at the end of his last wall, and we also let an orb get through which grants barrier to Cerus (see 6:50), we decided to delay our 10% phasing until after the half circle drop during the next green (see 7:27).
Check out this video if you're interested in good or bad 10% phase timings: • When to phase Cerus CM to 10%
When doing double wall, the 2nd wall can be jumped to avoid getting boonstripped (see 3:22, 4:06, 5:20, 6:50), however, the timing is very tight.

Disclaimer: I bring Sword for its mobility and boonstrips. I'd still recommend to run Mercy relic since even though corpse pull on F4 was removed, Scourge can still rezz up players quickly via the Blood Magic adept trait Ritual of Life, Well of Blood, and F4.
