গালিব গবেষক ও উর্দু-ফার্সি ভাষা পণ্ডিত জাভেদ হুসেন বাংলাদেশের একজন প্রতিনিধিত্বশীল উর্দু-ফার্সি সাহিত্যকর্মের অনুবাদক। এ ভাষাগুলো এবং বাংলায় তাঁর দখল তাঁকে বর্তমান অবস্থানে নিয়ে এসেছে। তাঁর অনুবাদ প্রাঞ্জল এবং মূলানুগ। অনুবাদ করেছেন, ‌‘ফয়েজ আহমদ ফয়েজের কবিতা’, ‌‘জান-এ গালিব’, এবং ‘ধ্রুপদী উর্দু কবিতা’। মার্ক্সসীয় দর্শন বিষয়েও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কাজ করেছেন তিনি। জাভেদ হুসেন বাংলা সাহিত্যকে বিশ্বসাহিত্যের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রচনাসমূহের আস্বাদে সমৃদ্ধ করছেন। এবার বইমেলায় তাঁর অনুবাদে মির্জা গালিবের গজল প্রকাশিত হয়েছে। কথা বলেছেন বার্তা২৪.কমের বিশেষ আয়োজন ‘বইপ্রহর’-এ
