Racism Breeds Jealousy and Self-hatred

Some feel that racism breeds a kind of jealousy and self-hatred that fuels black on black crime. Giselle believes she lost her son because others thought her son did not deserve the things he had or the life he lived. As part of the campaign for racial equity in Montgomery County, Maryland, MCM invited residents to describe a racial experience and share how it affected them This is Giselle’s response.
