Despite internal divisions, Libya maintains a sizeable and well-equipped force, split primarily between the Libyan National Army (LNA) in the east and the Government of National Unity (GNU) forces in the west. The country’s military strength includes an estimated 32,000 active personnel. Its arsenal comprises around 100 main battle tanks, over 2,200 armored vehicles, 183 self-propelled artillery systems, and more than 450 rocket or missile launchers.
