Vapnartak | Wargames Show | February 2023

Vapnartak is an annual wargames show organised by the York Wargames Society and is held in the hospitality and conference centre at York Racecourse. The event took place on Sunday 5th February and was well attended by Traders, Participation Games and Display Games, along with the popular tabletop sales area.

A wargame is a game that realistically simulates warfare, many recreate specific historic battles where others are set in fantasy worlds and science fiction. They can cover whole wars, campaigns, battles or lower-level engagements within them. Many simulate combat on land, but there are games for naval, air combat and other types battlefield.
