Immediate Dentures Before and 24hr After

Welcome back. This is Doctor Chris Nelson
once again for a video showing you a really cool before
and after case on a set of immediate dentures. So what is an immediate denture? Well, for a patient that has teeth
that are not in good shape, that need to come out, an immediate
denture is a solution for that. Now, could we go get dental implants
or some other prostheses? Yes. But in a lot of cases,
the immediate denture, a removable appliance,
is actually more affordable, more comfortable in some cases,
and also more budget friendly. And so we end up doing a lot of immediate
dentures, even for patients that are thinking
about doing implants in the future. Something that snaps in
and out or something that's permanent and not removable. Well, that's great, but a lot of times
we end up doing the immediate denture first and then moving forward
with any sort of implant denture. And in this case, the patient was
interested in doing an immediate denture. And so that's what we went ahead to do. So what were the steps involved
in getting from teeth that are in not great shape to teeth
that are beautiful and looking like this?
