HOW to MOVE to PARIS from USA: French Bank, Phone, Insurance, Utilities

Last step in your move abroad is the setup! In the final video in our series on how to move to France from the USA, we will discuss how to get a French bank account, phone number, internet plan, and electricity and/or gas. You will also learn how to get French health insurance. While this information is based on my experience moving to Paris, the process will generally be the same for anywhere you move in France.

Update: HSBC USA and France were sold so it may no longer be possible to open an account unless you are a very high wealth individual. However, Bank of America & BNP Paribas have a partnership. So, consider trying to open an account via Bank of America. Also, if you need something to just get started, you can also start with a WISE account but I would not keep that as a long-term solution.
