My latest instrument is finished! A home-made Anglo-Saxon Trossinger Lyre.
This is the very first plucked lyre that I made and either is this the first time that I play the Trossinger Lyre during this video. So please excuse me for some plucking errors so now and then!

This Trossinger Lyre is made from 1 piece of Maple. It is decorated with a pyrography burning tool. The decorations are hand drawn with Celtic Knots drawing techniques.

I made chapters in the video. I used a Hammered Dulcimer playing technique somewhere arround the middle section of the video. It's not traditionally meant to play it like this, but I was trying things out and it seemed to work very well so far.

See my other video's from my other 2024 crafting projects. Including a recently finished Scandinavian Tagelharpa and somewhere in the future, I'll upload a Swedish Moraharpa video once this instrument is ready!
