Upgrade Your OMTech Laser: How to Remove the Stock Fan & How to Install the AC Infinity Fan

Are you looking to upgrade your exhaust fan on your OMTech CO2 laser engraver? This video will help you understand the process and walk you through it. I removed the stock fan on my OMTech AF2028 60W Laser Engraving Machine and installed a new AC Infinity CLOUDLINE S6 PRO 6” Inline Duct Fan to help pull more air from my working area so that the smoke was pulled out faster to help keep my bed, lens, and area cleaner when I'm creating.

00:00 - Step by Step Stock Fan Removal and AC Infinity S6 Duct Fan Installation
00:10 - Remove the flange and grate where the fan is attached to the laser (hold on to the screws to reinstall these pieces)
00:55 - Disconnect the wires and completely remove the stock fan
01:25 - Pull wires back through the setup so that you can completely remove the stock fan
01:41 - Re-install the flange and grate (optional). If your projects have a lot of debris, you can put the grate back up. I left mine off.
02:05 - Determine where you will setup your new fan and ducting
02:32 - Mount the AC Infinity fan nearby (closer to the area where your air will be exiting the workspace) and make sure the arrows are pointing in the direction of the air flow. (going out from the laser not into the laser)
02:46 - Hook up the remote control and plug in your fan.
