DAYTON - Two men walking through the Oregon District last Sunday say they were jumped and beaten.On Monday, the family of the man seriously injured held a benefit fundraiser to help pay for the medical costs at Lucky's Tap Room.Seth Shaman was hospitalized for days.Were told that Seth and his friend were walking to their car when they said hi to two people walking by- when those men got what they describe as aggravated.Then they say two other men jumped out of nowhere and beat them.There was no provocation. No reason behind this. Best we can tell is these were some really aggressive, young guys out drinking. They were probably looking for a fight, said the victim's brother, Nathan Shaman.Were told Seth is well known around the Oregon District and the surrounding community.. If proceeds exceed his medical costs the rest of the money will go to the Oregon District maintenance fund.
