Birla group founded by Shiv Narayan Birla in 1863. Then the group is managed by Baldeo Das Birla. Then from him, the assets got dividend into 4 groups, to his four Sons

1. Jugal Kishore Birla
2. Rameshwar Das Birla
3. Ghanshyam Das Birla
4. Braj Mohan Birla

Later this four groups made their own fortunes and own identity. Among this four GD Birla entered the automobile industry and founded Hindustan Motors. Post the independence of India, he also entered the tea and textiles industries after acquiring European companies. Later, Birla expanded into chemicals, cement, steel tubes, rayon, and more.

And his grandson Aditya Vikram Birla got his asstes and took the group worldwide. Today Aditya Birla group is one among the leading business houses of India with good governance.

Aditya Vikram Birla deceased in 1995.
