We visited Guiyang (Guizhou, China) in winter and it was freezing!

* CC Park (Venice themed mall)
* Guiyang Stone Statue Park (Yelang Valley)
* Qingyan Ancient Town (founded in 1378) – full of ancient architecture
* Waterfalls & caves (Tianhe Lake)
* (Riverside walk at Nanming River)

Guiyang is surrounded by forests and mountains, giving it a beautiful landscape all-year round. The landscape offers many cone-shaped hills and Karst caves hidden amongst them. It is also home to one of the largest waterfalls in Asia as well as many different ethnic minority groups. They are a little way out of Guiyang so plan ahead before you come.

More often than not you only find out about many places worth visiting once you're there, with little to no time left to go and actually do it. I plan to head back to Guizhou after properly planning the trip around the villages later in the year.
