In the video, we explore the first weekend of the Year of 2026, and the middle of the Summer Start Transitional Period in Melbourne's Metropolitan Rail Network. This video will include Trains at Flinders Street, the City Loop, and a few train rides across the City Loop, and Caulfield. Enjoy an hour worth of content, ending up with a rare sighting within the Dandenong Corridor.

On the night of 4 January, an EDI Comeng set ran a service to Dandenong station on the Pakenham and Cranbourne Lines. This is due to crowds and commuters from a Big Bash League match in the MCG. In this video, we will ride it from Malvern to Oakleigh. Consist is 349M-1082T-327M-505M-1103T-506M. Perhaps this could be the last time an EDI Comeng runs on the Dandenong Group as the Pakenham and Cranbourne Lines will link to the Sunbury Line via the Metro Tunnel in less than a month from now following the "Big Switch" event.
