Well we have just finished at another Word Championship for the USKA Fight Factory fighters this time representing ICO Team England at the ICO Word Championships in Rome, Italy from 2nd-4th November.
The competition was tough and testing with some of our fighters pitched in against older and heavier opponents in merged categories but through all the adversity they kept their cool, keep their focus and turned in some amazing performances over there to surpass all expectations and bring home the bling cashing in on all the hard work they had put in in preparation for the Championships.
With fighters competing over 6 different fighting disciplines it was a very busy two days of competition for the USKA lads and their coach Neil Kelly under conditions that would emotionally break some fighters but nothing fazed our 9 boys finishing the competition with an unbelievable 35 medals including 23 Golds, 8 Silvers and 4 Bronze medals which was without doubt was the highest ratio of medals won by any single club at the Championships.

It goes without saying that we are all exceptionally proud of our fighters on what they have achieved and the way that conducted themselves on the trip.
We would like to thank ICO President Andrew Hennessy and his team at ICO for the opportunity and stage to compete in International Competition and a special thank you to all the ICO coaching team that helped corner our fighters and helped them achieve the success they did.
The fighters would also like to say a big thank you to USKA coach Sean Quinn who played a big part alongside coach Neil Kelly in getting the fighters ready for battle in the months leading up to the Championship.
Thank you to all the travelling spectators who all pulled together to make it a fantastic trip helping each other all the way through and showing the true meaning of support, teamwork and family.
A final thank you to all the USKA coaches, assistant coaches, helpers and staff that looked after the USKA Fight Factory gym in our absence and insured that it was business as usual when we were away. It is truly very much appreciated as it would not be possible if it was not for you.
So in closing with this Medal tally added to our WKO World Championship success in July we finish the year with an outstanding total off 82 World Championship medals including 46 Golds,24 Silvers and 12 Bronzes beating last years total of 60 World Championship medals including 33 Golds, 17 Silvers and 10 Bronzes.
