We ride the all-new 2021 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP! Honda has broken the mold when it comes to the legendary CBR lineup, creating a much more pointed and aggressive sportbike with serious racetrack aspirations.

What's new on the Fireblade SP? Everything and that story begins with the 999cc engine that features the same big-bore and long stroke engine architecture first seen on the limited-edition $186,000 Honda RC214V-S MotoGP replica motorcycle.

An all-new chassis and geometry is employed with significantly updated geometry. A longer wheelbase, wider rake and extended trail figures contribute to the Triple-R's planted feeling in the corners, while other changes have helped it remain quite agile.

The SP model features semi-active Öhlins suspension, which works quite well on the street.

Road Test Editor Nic de Sena tested the 2021 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP on the roads of Southern California to see what Big Red's street-legal homologated racebike is all about. Have any questions? Drop them down below!
