The Best Thing About Heroquest.... is 3D printing replacement tokens and furniture!

Yep, the original Heroquest furniture may be better than anything in your local furniture store, but replacing some of the card tokens for 3D printed alternatives adds a new element to the game. Doing simple modifications in 3D Builder is easy too, I show the basic changes I made to some STLs using the free program.

I have new walls for blocking off corridors, new stairs for the heroes to descend into the dungeon, and some floor pieces to place furniture on to make it obvious what part of a room is inaccessible. Sometimes replacing tokens is a nice thing to do aesthetically because it can be prettier or more immersive, sometimes it is worth doing because it is more functional. I'll be using these pieces in a game this week so we'll see how they work then!
