Liam Raghallaigh was written in the 18th century, and was a love song, apparently written by Liam’s bride after his boat sank in Sruwaddacon Bay as he rowed across the water to collect the Priest for the wedding. The bride, Neili blamed the shoddy workmanship of the boat makers for it sinking.
