The Bond King is a book by Mary Childs that tells the story of the rise and fall of the legendary investor, Bill Gross. Over the course of decades, Bill Gross turned the sleepy bond market into a destabilised game of high risk and high reward; he founded Pimco, one of today’s most powerful, secretive, and cutthroat investment firms; he helped to reshape our financial system, often to his own advantage; and gained legions of admirers, and enemies, along the way.
