In 2024, we marked 30 years of the Hellenic Centre with a specially commissioned short film, reflecting on our history and the foundations we have laid for the future.

Founded as a centre for the Greek and Cypriot diaspora, the Hellenic Centre has, in recent years, grown into a vibrant hub for artists, academics and professionals in London, all with an interest in classical and contemporary Greek culture.

A heartfelt thank you to musician Pavlos Carvalho, Executive Board Chairman Mr Stamos Fafalios, author Victoria Hislop, Greek Language Courses & Cultural Events Manager Evangelia Roussou, artist Amy Stephens, and our Director Dr Nayia Yiakoumaki for sharing their insights into the Centre’s cultural, educational and social contributions – and for highlighting its role in preserving and promoting Hellenic culture in the UK.
