In this focused study series, we drill postflop play in position versus Small Blind 3-bets, with effective stacks from 20 to 100BB.

The SB’s 3-bet range is mostly linear and value-dense — built from premium pairs, strong broadways, and good suited aces. That gives them nut advantage on many ace-high, broadway, and paired boards. But as the in-position caller, we can generally realize equity better, control pot size, and apply pressure across later streets. Our edge comes from knowing which boards favour us, which ones favour the SB, and building clear plans for flop, turn, and river.

We’re not here to memorize endless solver charts. Instead, we’ll build logical, range-vs-range strategies first, then check against GTO Wizard to ensure we’re playing close to optimal.
