The Best Day Hike in Albany | BALD HEAD TRACK | Torndirrup National Park

Описание к видео The Best Day Hike in Albany | BALD HEAD TRACK | Torndirrup National Park

Bald Head track is one of the best day hikes in the Albany Region of the South West. The trail head carpark is short 20min drive from Albany into Torndirrup National Park, where you can also visit the Blowholes, Natural Bridge and The Gap. From here it is a 6.25 km hike (12.5km return) across the dolphin-shaped Flinders Peninsula to the granite domed Bald Head, with sweeping views of King George Sound and the Southern Ocean. The last 2km stretch to the point has some steep, scrambly sections and is quite exposed to wind and weather. If you have any limitations, consider just hiking the first half, as the surrounds and vibrant coastal heath in this section is as good as the rest.
