Active vs Passive Insufficiency Explained Simply

Описание к видео Active vs Passive Insufficiency Explained Simply

Active and passive insufficiency can be hard concepts to grasp. In this video I explain how biarticular muscles literally "run out of room" when passively lengthening or actively shortening. In active insufficiency, the muscle has maximally shortened and actin & myosin are literally losing purchase on each other. In passive insufficiency, the structure of the muscle (or neuromuscular "tightness") does not allow it to stretch further. This lecture is part of a free, 25-video series covering every facet of structural anatomy. Don’t just memorize human anatomy, master it: https://bit.ly/32kJ5zw
