Riccardia chamedryfolia is an advanced category plant and is available from Tropica as a portion attached to wire mesh. It resembles a moss but is actually a liverwort that has different growth and structural characteristics. It requires moderate to strong light with CO2 injection to get optimal results, with more light leading to more attractive and compact growth. It is a polymorphic liverwort, which means it changes its structure to adapt to the environment. For instance with lower lighting and poor CO2 conditions the growth is much paler and less compact. Under good conditions it grows in a plating formation, hence its nickname, coral moss.
