Web3 is about building a more decentralized internet. In the old way, called Web2, most apps and websites run on company-owned servers, and that company owns the data and controls who can use the service. In Web3, the idea is to use a network of computers owned by different people all over the world, not just one company.

These computers, sometimes called nodes, talk to each other, and anyone can join or leave the network. Blockchains are used to keep track of data and make sure everyone agrees on what happened. Think of Bitcoin and how anyone can run a miner and help keep the ledger updated.

In Web3, it is not just money. You can also store files, run code, or manage data like a database, but it all happens in a way where no single company is in charge. This can be cool for privacy and control, but right now Web3 networks can be slower and less efficient because everything needs to be checked by many computers.

If you want to build your own Web3 project with a user interface, you'll probably use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web apps, and you could add backend code with Python and Flask, and use SQLite to store data. There is also Electron for desktop apps, and a Rust-based version called Tauri, which does the same kind of thing.
