When it comes to plant growth, I would argue that light is the single most important factor (yes, even more than water or fertilizer). Even so-called “low light plants” will thrive so much more under brighter lighting conditions. My IKEA Rudsta Greenhouse Cabinet creates a very controlled climate for my houseplants with consistent light, humidity, and temperature.

I never would have imagined that in my adult life, a light meter would be one of my most used tools 🥸. But alas, it’s actually super handy. These PlantSpectrum grow lights are top notch and have been a huge upgrade for my greenhouse and my plants. Paired with the added smart switch, I run these 12 hours a day (standard is 12-16 hours for optimal plant growth).

Even with a lot of natural light in my house, I still supplement with grow lights.
